🔒

Techion is designed with privacy as a core principle. Core app communication occurs directly between your device and your configured Technitium server. If you enable Techion Analytics, the app separately sends limited aggregate usage statistics to Techion-operated infrastructure. Credentials, app settings, and locally collected analytics data may be stored on your device.

01 Data Storage

Data used by Core Techion features is stored locally on your device unless it is transmitted to your configured Technitium DNS server to provide functionality or included in limited aggregate analytics transmitted when Techion Analytics is enabled.

Credentials
Login credentials are securely stored using Apple's iOS Keychain.
Preferences
App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.
Analytics
When enabled, analytics are aggregated into daily summaries on your device before upload. The app keeps aggregate snapshots locally to support cumulative uploads; it does not maintain or send a raw event log.
02 Data Collection

When enabled, Techion collects and sends limited aggregate daily usage statistics, including:

  • App opens and unique app opens
  • Page views, feature use, PRO-feature use, and error-category counts
  • Feature enabled or disabled observations
  • Completed usage sessions and total usage duration
  • App version and build, operating-system version, and device-model counts
  • A generated pseudonymous app identifier and the UTC usage day used to associate daily summaries

The pseudonymous app identifier is not an account identifier or authentication credential.

Techion Analytics does not send:

  • Account information, names, email addresses, or credentials
  • DNS queries, domain names, search history, or server configuration
  • IP addresses or backup contents
  • Raw events, arbitrary raw request payloads, or event, session, or request timestamps

Techion does not use third-party analytics or crash reporting services.

Apple may collect diagnostic and crash-related data according to your device settings.
03 Network Communication

Techion connects directly to your configured Technitium DNS server.

The app may perform background or automated requests to support functionality, including refreshing data, maintaining state, and uploading analytics when enabled.

  • Core app requests are made directly between your device and your configured Technitium server
  • Enabled analytics uploads are sent separately to Techion-operated infrastructure
  • DNS requests and Technitium-server traffic are not routed through the analytics service
  • Techion does not use third-party analytics or advertising services
  • Communication security depends on your server configuration (e.g., HTTP vs HTTPS). Techion does not enforce or guarantee encrypted connections.
⚠️

Important: Your Technitium DNS server and any upstream DNS services you configure may independently log or process data. Techion does not control how that data is logged or processed.

04 Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Techion does not collect or store payment information and does not have access to your payment details.

05 Data Control

After initial setup, the app presents a non-dismissable notice requiring you to choose whether to allow or deny analytics. You can change this setting later in Privacy & Security.

  • Disable future analytics collection and uploads at any time
  • Log out at any time
  • Reset app data within the app

Disabling analytics stops future collection and uploads; it does not by itself erase aggregate analytics already stored locally.

09 Contact

For questions or support, please refer to the contact information provided within the app or on the App Store listing.
